YayThe YAY Recordings label has only been around for one year, but we're already feeling the heat from all angles. We love imprints that come up with new and exciting talent, especially when they're releasing techno as loose and heartfelt as this four-tracker from newcomer Audri. "Droid" kicks things into motion with a blurry haze of washed-out electronics, but it's "Smashin'" that spins our heads around and gets us nodding up and down to its minimal yet pulsating groove. On the flip, "Indeed" is closer to the electro end of the spectrum thanks to its metallic percussion and brittle arrangement, whereas "Ain't No Shit" unleashes a devilish little techno number that sits just right with us. More YAY, please...
