( SYNKRO 005 ) IULY.B - Mania EP (12") Synkroniq Romania

All minimal fans know that Romania has been a hot bed for these sorts of sounds for years and now Synkroniq is a newish label that is again reminding us of that. Its fifth release keeps up the fine standard set by the first four and is one that finds Iuly.B mixing up sonic abstracting with compelling grooves. 'Mania' layers the scruffy kicks up with jittery perc and twisted synths for something tense and cosmic then 'Robotop' brings 90s prog techno colours and 'Optimal Power' rides on slick drums and astral synth patterns. 'Excess' is the tight, kinetic and neon-hued tech house cruiser to close down in style.
