Small HoursAs with its predecessors, the latest missive from Youandewan's Small Hours imprint gathers together a quartet of cuts from a variety of unheralded artists and rising stars. The main man offers up the deep, drowsy, '90s tech-house warmth of "Loophole" on side A, alongside Monochrome vs Velasco's "Paranoid", which is a similarly starry, sci-fi-flecked skip through intergalactic deep house chunkiness. Over on side B, Robin Ordell impresses via the clanking, bass-propelled tech-funk of "Rainbowitz", while Darren Allen brilliantly joins the dots between deep house, jazz and tech-house electronics on the imaginative and enjoyable "Strange World".
