renaissanceWhen it first appeared way back in 1990, The Age of Love's "Age of Love" was instrumental in inspiring the early trance movement. Since then, the track has been remixed numerous times, with each new generation of DJs and dancers seemingly falling for its whistling melodies, distinctive vocal samples and throbbing, arpeggio-fuelled groove. The latest to give the track a contemporary update is German tech-house stalwart Solomun. His remix is woozy and hypnotic, wrapping the now-familiar vocal sample, fluttering riffs and dreamy chords around a chunky tech-house groove. On the reverse, you'll find arguably the definitive version of the track - Jam & Spoon's 1992 "Watch Out For Stella Club Mix", a near perfect fusion of pulsating early trance bottom-end, ghostly synths and loved-up intent.
