Phantasy SoundThis is quite the package from Erol Alkan's long running Phantasy Sound. Jay Duncan and Ben Vince cook up some fantastically compelling rhythms on opener 'In Limbo.' The afro drum pattern re worked into a futuristic minimal and tech house framework that is doused in dubby undercurrent. 'Anti-Purgatorio' is another synthetic symphony of minimal sound with mysterious leads, UK bass music motifs but an enchanting and otherworldly vibe. The closer is an epic 15 minute remix form the one and only Ricardo Villalobos who is in fine form as he warps and wefts his synths into a mind melting tapestry.
