There's something wonderfully blissful and summery about Sophie Sweetland's latest outing under the D.Tiffany pseudonym. From start to finish, the EP sounds like it was written at sunrise under the influence of a cocktail of endorphin-boosting prescription drugs. Check, for example, the skittish breakbeats, slowly swelling chords and huggable synth-bass of head-in-the-clouds opener "Feel U", or the red-eye-enhanced deep space pads that drift across an up-tempo, high-octane electro rhythm on "AK". The Vancouver producer opts for a slightly rougher-edged sound on bustling flipside opener "Sip & Savour", a chunky, breakbeat-driven affair smothered in rich deep house chords and intergalactic electronics, while closer "Northern Lights" reminded us of the sublime, ambient house-era work of Japanese producer Mr YT.
