Mountain PeopleAndre Schmid (aka Rozzo) and Philippe Egger (aka Serafin) have been reaching many a deep house summit as The Mountain People ever since 2006. What they do isn't game changing, but it is s excellent executed that it always proves irresistible to both DJs and dancers. This latest EP is a case in point: 'Mountain 017 1' is simple but effective European deep house. The baseline is warm and rich, the drums have enough funk to them to draw you in each and every time. 'Mountain 017 2' strikes a perfect balance between tension and release, trapping you in unresolved lops then teasing with a hint or warm pad or hooky little hit. Gorgeous.
