MOSAICSteve O'Sullivan's Mosaic label returns with another essential exercise in reduced, restrained but gorgeously rendered techno delivered with a light touch and a liberal dose of dub. O'Sullivan dons his The Wise Caucasian hat for "In The Night," which anchors itself with an insistent low end pulse and lets the rest of the track shimmer delicately around it. He then teams up with Frazer Campbell on the flip for the soul-stirring, message-laden "Rise," which samples the legendary poet Maya Angelou, strapping her most famous piece to a quietly uplifting house cut that would suit a hazy morning session.
