After focusing on my live act for about two months I needed a break from my studio routine. It turned out to be very positive and resourcing. Piano Roll was produced in one afternoon, very spontaneously and naturally. It was my first session with the Mellotron. I found this instrument so inspiring as its acoustic tonality can be processed with analog tools, such as analog delays. I created this track using almost only the Mellotron. At the end of the day it made sense to name it Piano Roll as all the melodies and reefs were created using that keyboard.
