Global NorthDJ Pipe has only released a handful of EPs over the last few years, most regularly on his own Global North imprint, but each has been packed to the rafters with the kind of timeless, late-90s influenced deep house/tech-house fusion that will never grow old. Further proof of the Berlin-based producer's mastery of this trademark style can be found on the Health Bar EP. Check first the spacey synth stabs, rolling drums and pots-and-pans percussion of 'Whirl Dee', before admiring the jazzy deep-tech-house shuffle of 'Mystery Shopper'. 'Deeper Strains' sounds like the kind of attractive, intergalactic smoothness that was once the preserve of Terry Francis, while 'Just Relax' is a deeper and more percussive affair that makes the most of chunky drums and spacey, dubbed-out electronics.
