Botanic MindsThe Botanic Minds bots are back in business with this sleek and refined EP of reduced dancefloor alchemy from Direkt. "Tim" is a twitchy cut with a whiff of electro in its crafty squeaks and bleeps. Arapu takes that source material and channels it into a more rolling house groove for a very tasteful remix. "Orbital" brings some distinctly jazzy keys into the mix, which contrast beautifully with the impressive analogue synth sweeps and intricate rhythmic programming. "Bullfrog" keeps things more austere and immersive for maximum club functionality, bringing a nice sense of balance to this well-rounded EP.
