Amour GermanyFor the label's first release, German imprint Amour has recruited rising star Noah Skelton, a producer who has previously served up tech-house treats on Silencio, Mayak and Cabinet Records, amongst others. Skelton starts in fine style with "Trailblazer", a wonderfully dreamy, funk-fuelled affair that joins the dots between the spacey, futurist sound of 1990s tech-house and the rolling chunkiness of more contemporary tech-tinged fare. He reaches for deep space chords once more on similarly inclined flipside cut "Altitude" - all two-step-influenced house beats, ultra-deep electronics and fireside-warm bass - while closing track "Nightfall" is a swirling, early morning roller of the type that Parisian crew Yoyaku has been serving up all year
